How to decorate a pumpkin with a mask cookie 2020
Ok, here are the 2020 pumpkin cookies, these cookies are inspired in the little kids that I saw every day where I work. I really admire their resilience and how they wear their masks for so many hours and how respectful are about following that rule of wearing their mask to protect them and to protect others.
If you want to see how I decorate these cookies you can watch the video here:
So, these pumpkins are getting ready to wear a mask and I will cut out the cookies using the cookie cutter set that I wrote about in the last post.
I decorated the cookies in three different ways and three different colors, for the first one I used a darker orange icing that I tinted with equal parts of sunset orange and buckeye brown food gel color. To that one I used the small cookie cutters from the set to trace the eyes.
.
For all the pumpkins I used a quilting decorated technique to give them a more realistic effect.
and put a blue mask on them instead of a mouth.
On the white pumpkin I added some cute sprinkles on the mask and iced some dreamy eyes!
For the yellow pumpkin I used some goggly eyes that I had already made and added some leaves on the stem, well I added leaves to the white pumpkin too!
One of the things I love the most about cookie decorating is how you can use your imagination and creativity and came up with different ideas, which of these pumpkins is the one that inspire you the most to bake some cookies?
I can tell you that I enjoyed a lot making the three designs, but my favorite is the one with the sprinkles on the mask!
