Super Bowl LVI Cookies
The Super Bowl is always very close to Valentine's Day and since this year it will be on Monday, it would be a very good idea to celebrate it during the weekend. However the Super Bowl is this Sunday, so maybe it is not a very romantic idea to celebrate it watching a football game. But I have learned to value any time I get to spend together with loved ones and so even a date at home watching the game is a nice way to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Several years ago, St. Valentine's fell on the actual day of the Super Bowl and I came up with the idea of making football chocolate cookies and added some hearts and kisses on them. They are very cute and SO easy to do!
Also I made this stadium cookies using a custom sprinkles mix, you can watch the video here, CLICK HERE
My husband LOVES football and this year he is super excited for the Super Bowl. He even did the fantasy football with his coworkers and won! He was so excited and I am very happy that he had fun doing it. Although some days I would see him stress out, especially towards the end of the season...but it was worth it, because he won and all his efforts were rewarded. Although he didn't win any physical prize per se, he was proud to earn the winning title which was enough for him!
So this year for Valentine's I am making some football and trophy cookies. I always make very girly cookies and every once in a while I like to venture outside that.
I hope that these cookies inspire you to put together a Valentine's /Super Bowl cookies for your loved ones.
And remember that we even need to use our creativity to find ways to celebrate even in a small way the special days in our lives, and baking is a great was to express how much you love someone!
