Thanksgiving is an adopted tradition in my family and over the years of living here in the US it has become one of my favorite holidays, not only because of the learning of new recipes, but because most of the times it comes with a fun and relax gathering with friends and I feel that is so necessary to pause our lives and think about all the blessings received during the year. So I am team Martha Stewart all the way, sorry Mariah, but there are so many interesting things to do  and delicious recipes to prepare from Halloween to Christmas. 

I really like to read about the story of the Pilgrims gathering together with the Indian Americans to share their harvest, and this always inspire me to make Thanksgiving cookies with Pilgrims and American Indians. 

Here are some examples of some cookies I have made in the past, I will put the link for a video or Idea pin so you can learn more.Austria,  Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, Grenada, Ghana, Japan,  Liberia, South India, Switzerland and The Netherlands are among the other countries that have their one way of celebrate Thanksgiving, that don't involve Football and Black Friday.

And it is also nice to learn that besides the American people celebrate Thanksgiving there are some other countries that also have gatherings similar to Thanksgiving, that center around giving some form of thanks, gathering with friends and families creating great memories and enjoying delicious food.
