Pan de muerto season is in full swing and last year I made it for the first time using a bread machine, and it turn out really, really good!
Pan de muerto is commonly used as an ofrenda for day of the dead altars and also is a tradition to enjoy it at the merienda meal, with a cup of hot chocolate!

To prepare this pan de muerto using a bread machine you will need the next ingredients:
If you have made bread on a bread machine, you know that is super simple to make it, here is how I make this delicious fall treat!
Procedure:
1.- In the bread machine canister add in this order, milk, butter, eggs, salt, sugar, flour, yeast and orange blossom water.
2.- Place the canister in the bread machine and press the option for dough (Sunbeam machine #8)
3.- Prepare a baking sheet with greased parchment paper.
4.- Once the dough cycle finish, put the dough over a floured surface and knead it a the dough until it comes out of your hand.
5.- Divide your dough in half and from one half make 6 small pieces.
6.- With the small pieces form the bones and and a small ball and arrange them over the big ball.
7.- Let the dough rest for 30 min in a warm place, so it gets a little bit bigger.
8.- Pre-heat oven at 345ºF degrees.
9.- Bake the bread for 20-30 minutes until golden. Let it cool.
10.- Once the bread is cool, brush melted butter on top and sprinkle sugar all over, and ENJOY!
